Three Individual Alexander Technique Lessons by Julie Douglas. Alexander Technique is a somatic mindfulness practice that brings awareness, release of tension, and ease of movement to those who practice it. In these lessons we will explore tools that you can apply to everyday life to ease stress in the body and improve coordination. The activities in these lessons will be low impact, include gentle hands on work and meet the student where they are at. Students will practice means of recognizing and undoing habitual patterns that get in the way of natural movement, finding more flexibility and choice. You can expect to find improved alignment and efficiency of movement as you strengthen the mind-body connection.
